Wolves have appointed Gary O'Neil as their new head coach less than 24 hours after Julen Lopetegui's departure.
Spaniard Lopetegui, 56, left Molineux by mutual consent just six days before the club's opening game of the Premier League season against Manchester United.
And Wolves moved swiftly to bring in O'Neil, who was sacked by Bournemouth in June — despite keeping them in the top flight last term.
After handing the 40-year-old tactician a three-year deal, sporting director Matt Hobbs said: "We're delighted to welcome Gary to the club.
"He's a highly motivated young coach with strong principles and very well thought of by everyone he has worked with. We're excited to see what we can achieve together at Wolves.
"Our players have shown their quality during pre-season and I believe Gary and his team will continue to coach and improve them and will have success working with this group.
"Everyone at Wolves is looking forward to welcoming Gary, offering him their full support and working collaboratively to help the club keep pushing forward together."
After Monday's match at Old Trafford, O'Neil will have his first chance to impress the Molineux faithful when Wolves host Brighton on August 19.
His team then take on Everton and Crystal Palace before the September international break.
The club have been quiet in the transfer market so far this summer, converting the loans of Boubacar Traore and Matheus Cunha into permanent deals and signing Matt Doherty for a second spell at the club on a free transfer.
Conor Coady, Nathan Collins, Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez have all left for a combined total of more than £80million.
