Rayan Ait-Nouri earned Wolves a 1-1 draw with relegated Norwich at Molineux.

The Canaries took the lead in the 37th minute when Teemu Pukki beat John Ruddy in the hosts' goal with an impressive finish.

But the home side drew level 10 minutes into the second half as Ait-Nouri nodded in a free-kick.

The draw means that Bruno Lage's men are now five points behind West Ham in seventh place, ending their hopes of European football next term.

Portuguese boss Lage cut a disappointed figure at the full-time whistle, saying: "We are frustrated with the result.

"It has been easy to score goals against us in the last months.

"We tried to do our best. We changed the dynamic a bit, scored one and should score more.

"It is a draw, it is not good for us and me. I wanted a good performance and result for the fans who supported us this season."

The visitors remain rooted at the bottom of the table but manager Dean Smith took plenty of positives from the game.

He said: "We had three wonderful chances. Teemu [Pukki] has been put through a number of times.

"I thought defensively we restricted them to not many chances at all.

"It was a really good, workmanlike performance but I'm disappointed we haven't got all three points because we could have been more than a goal up at half-time."

Did you know?

Wolves remain unbeaten against Norwich in their last six league encounters.

The West Midlanders are winless in their last six games, their longest run without victory in a top-flight campaign since January 2021.

Pukki has been directly involved in 61% of the Canaries' league goals this season.

Full-back Ait-Nouri scored just his second league goal for the hosts.

Conor Coady made his 150th Premier League appearance for Lage's men, the first player to reach this milestone for the club.
