Andre Onana has reportedly rejected a Saudi Arabia switch in order to push through a move to Manchester United.

Inter Milan stopper Onana has emerged as Erik ten Hag's top target to replace David De Gea, who could leave Old Trafford this summer.

The Spaniard is technically a free agent after his Red Devils contract expired last Friday, with the 32-year-old currently enjoying time with his family before discussions over his future take place.

A report in 90min indicates that regardless of whether De Gea signs a new deal, Ten Hag wants to make Onana his No1 next season.

Whether United can afford the move remains to be seen, with Sky Italy reporting Inter's asking price is likely to be a stretch.

The Premier League giants are set to spend a large portion of their transfer budget on Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount — though there remains optimism a deal can also be struck for Onana.

Ten Hag is also keen to bring a second midfielder to the club, with Fiorentina powerhouse Sofyan Amrabat and Southampton youngster Romeo Lavia of interest.

Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund is a target in the forward positions but United are determined not to overspend on the 20-year-old Dane.
