- Tottenham have lost three of their last four matches at home
- Everton have won their last four away games
- Recommended bet: Everton to win

There is a big Premier League match-up taking place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as Tottenham take on an Everton side aiming to pull away from the bottom three.

Tottenham find themselves fifth in the table, six points adrift of league leaders Arsenal as the season almost hits the midway stage, while Everton are down in 16th place and seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Had the Toffees not been hit with a 10-point deduction, they would be as high as 10th in the standings and that shows how well they have been playing under Sean Dyche this season.

Team news

Spurs are without Yves Bissouma following his red card against Nottingham Forest last time out, while Destiny Udogie picked up his fifth yellow card at the City Ground and is banned for this clash.

Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon, Manor Solomon, Alife Whiteman and Ivan Perisic are all sidelined through injury.

Giovani Lo Celso is a doubt after picking up a slight injury in training and Brennan Johnson will need to be assessed after coming off with a head injury against Forest.

As for Everton, Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young are both in contention to return and will be assessed closer to the time, but Dele Alli, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Vitalii Mykolenko are not expected back until after Christmas.

Andre Gomes continues to work his way back to full fitness and a return in the New Year is more likely for him.

The stats

Tottenham have won back-to-back matches heading into Saturday's fixture, beating Newcastle 4-1 and then overcoming Forest 2-0 despite being reduced to 10 men.

Spurs had lost three home games in a row before sticking four past the Magpies, going down to Chelsea (4-1), Aston Villa (2-1) and West Ham (2-1).

Tottenham's clean sheet at Forest was their first shutout since beating Fulham 2-0 at the end of October, with that victory over the Cottagers also the last time they have kept an opponent at bay on home soil.

Everton have won their last four away fixtures and they have suffered only one defeat from their last nine road assignments in all competitions.

The Toffees have collected 16 points away from home in the Premier League this season, only Tottenham (18) have taken more on their travels.

Prediction

Tottenham still have a lengthy injury list to deal with and the suspensions of Bissouma and Udogie for this clash have only increased the selection difficulties for manager Ange Postecoglou.

Home form has been a concern for Spurs of late after they suffered three defeats in a row, and although they beat Newcastle 4-1 in their last appearance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, that victory came against an injury-ravaged and fatigued Magpies outfit.

A visit of an Everton side that have been excellent on the road is the last thing Tottenham want and the Toffees will fancy their chances of chalking up a fifth straight away success.

Dyche has instilled belief throughout his squad and the Toffees can take the spoils in what should be a lively affair in the capital.
