Sophie Roman Haug has Chelsea firmly in her sights after scoring her first goal for Liverpool last weekend.

The Norwegian got her head on a pinpoint cross from Yana Daniels to ensure Matt Beard's Reds came away from Tottenham with a 1-1 draw.

And she wants to ensure the net continues to bulge in her first season in the Women's Super League.

Roman Haug, 24, told Liverpool's official website: "It was a great feeling for me to see the ball go in the back of the net.

"It was a nice cross from Yana, just how I like it. I had a few chances in previous games, so it was just nice to see it finally go in.

"It was a really nice moment and hopefully there's more to come."

After joining Liverpool from Roma in September, Roman Haug endured a disrupted start to the campaign due to a facial injury sustained on international duty.

Her first appearances for Liverpool were played in a protective mask and she is keen to show exactly what she can do now fully fit.

Roman Haug added: "It wasn't really the start I wanted here and of course you never want to pick up an injury like that.

"It wasn't ideal wearing that mask but I'm glad I'm done with that now. Luckily for me, it wasn't that long I had to wear it for."

The Reds will need to be at their best when they visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday to prevent the defending champions recording a sixth win in seven league games.

But Roman Haug is confident Beard's side can upset the apple cart against the WSL's finest.

She said: "We work every day to improve and to get as many points as we can, so we'll keep working hard.

"We've done well so far this season and we're really looking forward to this game at Chelsea.

"It will be a nice occasion to play at Stamford Bridge and hopefully we can do well on Saturday and continue our good start to the season."
