Newcastle host Liverpool and Brighton entertain West Ham in what is set to be an action-packed third Premier League weekend of the season.

There are two London derbies for fans to enjoy as Arsenal clash with Fulham at the Emirates and Brentford face Crystal Palace while Chelsea lock horns with newly-promoted Luton.

We preview all 10 games of Matchday 3.

Chelsea vs Luton (Friday, 8pm, Sky Sports)

Chelsea and Luton's first top-flight meeting since December 1991 kicks off the weekend.

The two sides have never met in the Premier League although they have contested three FA Cup ties in the past 20 years, with the Blues winning the trio of encounters.

But the West London outfit have triumphed just once in their last 16 games in all competitions and are winless in nine at Stamford Bridge, drawing each of the last three.

Bournemouth vs Tottenham (Saturday, 12.30pm, TNT Sports)

Ange Postecoglou's improving Tottenham side travel to Bournemouth as they seek to build on the 2-0 win over Manchester United last Saturday.

Spurs enjoy a trip to the South Coast, losing only one of their six Premier League matches at the Vitality Stadium and winning last season's fixture 3-2 after falling 2-0 behind.

However, the North Londoners have triumphed in just one of their last 11 away games in all competitions, failing to keep a clean sheet in any of those contests.

Arsenal vs Fulham (Saturday, 3pm)

Arsenal have never lost a home game against Saturday's opponents Fulham, winning 24 and drawing six of their 30 league meetings.

The Cottagers are winless in their last 10 matches overall against the Gunners — losing eight and drawing two — while failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 16 against them too.

Mikel Arteta's title-chasing side also have an exceptional record in 3pm kick-offs at the Emirates, boasting 27 victories from their last 34 games.

Brentford vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3pm)

Brentford will be looking to take inspiration from an impressive 3-0 win at Fulham when they host Crystal Palace.

The four Premier League meetings between the pair have all ended in draws, although Thomas Frank's side have won six of their last eight games.

And Bees striker Bryan Mbeumo can match Arsenal legend Thierry Henry's record of scoring in six consecutive London derbies in the top flight, with the Cameroon international netting six times in his previous five outings.

Everton vs Wolves (Saturday, 3pm)

Sean Dyche's Everton side are in desperate need of goals and points after a dreadful start to the new season.

The Toffees lost 4-0 at Aston Villa last Sunday after a 1-0 defeat to Fulham on the opening weekend and are without a win in four against Saturday's opponents Wolves (one draw, three defeats).

Gary O'Neil's side are winless in their last nine away games, though, losing each of the last five and failing to score in the last four.

Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest (Saturday, 3pm)

After their dismal display at Spurs, Manchester United will be looking to extend their impressive home run against Nottingham Forest.

The Red Devils boast a 100% win record from their last seven league matches at Old Trafford and are unbeaten in 30 overall on home soil (26 wins, four draws).

And while Steve Cooper's side will be buoyed by their 2-1 win over Sheffield United on Matchday 2, they have won just one of 20 away Premier League matches since their return to the top flight as well as losing the last 10 meetings with United in all competitions by an aggregate score of 36-3.

Brighton vs West Ham (Saturday, 5.30pm, Sky Sports)

Brighton come into the weekend at the top of the table and will seek to make it three wins from three against one of their favourite opponents.

West Ham have yet to beat the Seagulls in the Premier League (six draws, six defeats) and were on the receiving end of a 4-0 thrashing at the Amex last season.

But the Hammers should have renewed optimism going into the match after their 3-1 win over Chelsea last Sunday, where summer signing James Ward-Prowse registered two assists on debut.

Burnley vs Aston Villa (Sunday, 2pm)

Aston Villa travel to newly-promoted Burnley in good spirits after their 4-0 win over Everton last Sunday and 5-0 thrashing of Hibernian in their Europa Conference League play-off first leg on Wednesday.

The Villans emerged victorious the last time they visited Turf Moor in May 2022, with star striker Ollie Watkins rounding off a 3-1 triumph.

Watkins has yet to get off the mark in the Premier League this season and will be desperate to do so against Vincent Kompany's side, whose scheduled match against Luton last weekend was postponed.

Sheffield United vs Manchester City (Sunday, 2pm, Sky Sports)

Pep Guardiola will not be on the touchline at Bramall Lane after recovering from back surgery.

However, a third consecutive win for his Manchester City side this term would see him become the fastest manager to 200 Premier League victories, achieving the feat in just 269 games and smashing Jose Mourinho's previous record of 326.

Sunday's opponents Sheffield United go into the fixture on the back of two consecutive league defeats and the Blades have not beaten the champions in the top flight since February 1992.

The FA Cup semi-final between the two sides last season saw City claim a comfortable 3-0 victory thanks to a Riyad Mahrez hat-trick.

Newcastle vs Liverpool (Sunday, 4.30pm, Sky Sports)

To cap off the weekend, Liverpool travel to St James' Park for a tantalising encounter against fellow top-four hopefuls Newcastle.

Interestingly, the Reds' last five trips to Tyneside have yielded four wins — including February's 2-0 victory.

The Magpies have won just one game against the Merseysiders since Jurgen Klopp took charge in October 2015 and Liverpool are currently on the division's longest unbeaten run (13 games) after defeating Bournemouth 3-1 at Anfield last Saturday.

Klopp also enjoys his battles with Newcastle boss Eddie Howe. The German has defeated him more times than any other Premier League manager (11), winning each of the last 10 meetings.
