- Napoli have won eight of their last nine games
- Eintracht Frankfurt are winless in their last four matches
- Recommended bet: Napoli Win to Zero

Napoli will be looking to finish the job when they take a 2-0 lead into their Champions League last-16 second leg tie with Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday night.

The Azzurri have one foot in the quarter-finals, thanks to goals from Victor Osimhen and Giovanni Di Lorenzo in the first leg in Germany.

With a formidable defence and a strong home record for Napoli, it is hard to see Frankfurt getting back into this contest at the Stadio Maradona.

Team news

Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti will be able to call upon left-back Mario Rui, who has missed the last two games domestically for the red card he picked up against former employers Empoli.

There is good news also for first-choice keeper Alex Meret who appears to have shrugged off the injury he picked up on the warm-up ahead of the win over Atalanta last week.

Kim Min-Jae and Hirving Lozano will have to prove their fitness before the arrival of Frankfurt but the match will come too soon for Giacomo Raspadori as he recovers from a thigh issue.

As for the visitors, Frankfurt will be without the suspended Randal Kolo Muani after his red card in the first leg, while Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe and Jesper Lindstrom are both out through injury.

The stats

With eight wins from their last nine games in all competitions, Napoli are a team in impressive form as they march towards the Serie A title this season.

Winning four of their last five games 2-0, Spaletti's side have been ruthlessly efficient in recent weeks.

Napoli defence has been at the foundation of their success at the start of 2023 as they have conceded just two goals in their last nine games.

As for Frankfurt, four games without a win in all competitions does not make for great reading ahead of their trip to the Stadio Maradona this week.

Sitting in sixth place in the Bundesliga table, Oliver Glasner's side now face an uphill battle domestically to return to the Champions League next season.

With one clean sheet in their last seven games, Frankfurt's fragile defence means they have a mountain to climb if they are to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

Prediction

Napoli have been one of the surprise packages in Europe this season and under Spalletti they just seem to be going from strength to strength.

A formidable defence will be tough to unlock and, with six clean sheets in their last seven games, it would be little surprise to see the hosts continue the trend with a win to nil on Wednesday night in what should be an electric atmosphere at the Stadio Maradona.
