Luton vs Newcastle predictions: Hatters can make the most of home advantage

&w=707&quality=100)
- Luton have four points from their last four games at Kenilworth Road
- Newcastle have failed to win seven of their eight Premier League trips
- Recommended bet: Luton double chance
Luton return to action with a home game against out-of-sorts Newcastle on Saturday and are in desperate need of points.
The Hatters' game against Bournemouth was abandoned last weekend and they sit in 18th spot in the table, five points adrift of safety - albeit with a game in hand.
Newcastle ended a three-game losing streak last weekend as they overcame Fulham 3-0 at St James’ Park.
The Magpies were aided by an early red card for Fulham’s Raul Jimenez in that victory, however, and they have a quick turnaround going into Saturday’s game as they were dumped out of the EFL Cup by Chelsea on Tuesday night.
Team news
Defenders Dan Potts will not be involved for Luton, but there is a chance forward Cauley Woodrow could return after a stint on the sidelines and Reece Burke may also come back into contention, while Marvelous Nakamba returns following suspension.
Newcastle have a few fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Kenilworth Road, as Emil Krafth and Anthony Gordon may miss out. Krafth was forced off at half-time against Chelsea, and Gordon was withdrawn soon after.
The duo are rated as doubts at this stage and could join a long list of unavailable players for the Magpies. Fabian Schar and Joelinton are unlikely to return for trip as Newcastle remain without 12 senior players.
However, defender Sven Botman may be involved after he played for the first 45 minutes against Chelsea following an injury absence before being withdrawn at half-time in what was a pre-planned action.
The stats
Newcastle have just one win in eight attempts away from home in the league, while Luton have secured four points from their last four home games.
Luton have scored in seven of their eight home league fixtures and the Magpies are winless in six on their travels across all competitions.
Newcastle have conceded 17 goals in eight Premier League away games this season.

Prediction
Newcastle sit in sixth spot in the Premier League table, but the vast majority of their success has come on home turf. The Magpies have picked up just five of their 28 points away from home, and struggling Luton may be able to get a result on Saturday.
The Hatters only have five points to show from eight home games, but they have had some incredibly tough games during that run.
They have already hosted four of the current top five (D1, L3) and have performed well in those games - claiming a point against Liverpool and suffering one-goal defeats to Spurs, Man City and Arsenal.
There are clearly goals in this Luton side, as they have only failed to score in one of their eight home games and Newcastle are leaking goals on their travels, having shipped 17 in just eight away games so far.
The Magpies have a host of injury issues and come into this game after midweek heartache as they were cruelly dumped out of the EFL Cup by Chelsea, conceding a late leveller before losing on penalties.
Luton may be able to take advantage and they look great value to either win or draw in the double chance market against a side who have recorded just one away Premier League victory this season.
