After some Carabao Cup action in midweek, the Premier League returns on Saturday with five fixtures.

Aston Villa and Manchester City face each other in the lunch-time kick-off before three games at 3pm, while title hopefuls Arsenal close out the day's action at 5.30pm when they face Crystal Palace for the second time in a week.

Aston Villa vs Manchester City (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Aston Villa and Manchester City will look to return to winning ways after losing their last league games.

Villa fell to a 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, while City lost the Manchester derby by the same scoreline to United.

City have lost six of their last seven away games, but they will take confidence from the fact that Villa have only kept two clean sheets in their previous 21 matches in the league.

Villa have drawn five of their last 10 Premier League matches at Villa Park and the two teams should cancel each other out this weekend.

Brentford vs Nottingham Forest (Saturday, 3pm)

Brentford have yet to lose at home this season, but they will be pushed all the way by Nuno Espirito Santo's side this weekend.

Nottingham Forest have recorded three wins in their last four games in the Premier League, including victories over Manchester United and Aston Villa.

For all of Brentford's success at home, they have yet to keep a clean sheet at the Gtech Community Stadium and with Forest in good form, they should be able to rack up the goals.

Ipswich vs Newcastle (Saturday, 3pm)

Alexander Isak has scored seven goals in his last 10 appearances in all competitions and can improve those stats at Ipswich

Kieran McKenna's Ipswich have yet to win on home soil in the Premier League and they will do well to keep Newcastle striker Alexander Isak quiet.

The Magpies are full of confidence after winning two games on the spin and Isak has netted in six of his last eight league appearances for Eddie Howe's troops.

Isak has scored in three league games in a row, and with the Tractor Boys vulnerable at the back, he can get the job done in Suffolk.

West Ham vs Brighton (Saturday, 3pm)

A lively game is expected in the capital when West Ham host Brighton at the London Stadium.

The Hammers have managed to avoid defeat in their last two games, but Brighton have suffered a dip in form, failing to win any of their last four matches.

Both teams have scored in West Ham's last four contests and the previous nine Brighton contests and another end-to-end battle should be on the cards.

Crystal Palace and Arsenal will meet for the second time in a week, with Arsenal having run out 3-2 winners in their Carabao Cup match at the Emirates on Wednesday.

The Eagles put up a good fight in their quarter-final clash but eventually came up short.

Oliver Glasner's side have been involved in some lively battles of late, with both teams scoring in seven of Palace's last nine games. Mikel Arteta is waiting for Declan Rice to pass a fitness test, while Riccardo Calafiori, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all sidelined.

With Arsenal struggling for options at the back, Palace can give them problems for the second time in four days.
