National League champions Wrexham will take on Wigan in the first round of the 2023-24 Carabao Cup.

The Red Dragons' last outing in the competition saw Aston Villa run riot at the Racecourse Ground, sealing a 5-0 victory back in August 2008.

But a clash with Premier League opposition could now be on the cards again, providing they can find a way past the cash-strapped Latics.

Elsewhere, relegated Leeds face a bump back to earth when they host Shrewsbury, with Leicester travelling to Burton and Southampton at League Two side Gillingham.
