There were no notable upsets in the Women's FA Cup fourth round as the top Women's Super League clubs progressed.

Cup holders and WSL leaders Chelsea required extra-time to beat London rivals West Ham, despite a dominant performance.

With the game level at 1-1 after 90 minutes, Erin Cuthbert and Sjoeke Nusken got the goals to send the Blues through.

Chelsea will hope for a kind draw in the fifth round as they look to win the FA Cup for a fourth successive year.

Asked about her side's performance against the Hammers, boss Emma Hayes said: "In the end, we looked comfortable winners.

"It looked like it had been three and a half or four weeks since we played."

Manchester United were emphatic 5-0 winners over Newcastle, with Ella Toone and Nikita Parris playing starring roles.

Manchester City followed suit, winning 4-0 at Durham thanks to a brace from Jill Roord as well as goals from Laura Coombs and Mary Fowler.

Fellow WSL title hopefuls Arsenal were equally convincing, dispatching Watford 5-1 at Meadow Park.

Liverpool got the better of Bristol City in a tighter contest, with Gemma Bonner scoring a late winner for the visitors, who had seen Ceri Holland sent off after an hour.

Tottenham, meanwhile, narrowly avoided an upset, coming from 2-0 down to beat Sheffield United 3-2 courtesy of Rosella Ayane's stoppage-time winner.

Elsewhere, Leicester were comfortable 4-0 victors at Derby and Brighton belied their poor WSL form with a thumping 6-0 win at Luton.
