Queens Park Rangers are unbeaten in three games but the Hoops failings at home are costing them dearly, with just five points from nine games at Loftus Road.

They have only scored eight goals in that sequence and now face a Norwich City outfit fresh off scoring 10 goals in two league games as they look to close in on the top six.

The Canaries head to West London in good tune and eager for three more points but they have not made a habit of winning on the road this season.

Team news

Hoops boss Marti Cifuentes has been operating without the likes of Ilias Chair, Jake Clarke-Salter, Jack Colback, Karamoko Dembele and Michael Frey and he can now add midfielder Sam Field to that list, with his latest booking against Watford ruling him out of this Loftus Road tussle.

Publicidad

Canaries boss Johannes Hoff Thorup has been without midfielder Jose Cordoba since the November international break and the Panamanian may miss out again.

Gabriel Forsyth, Liam Gibbs and Josh Sargent are also likely to be absent, though Marcelino Nunez played 17 minutes against Luton last time and could be pushing for inclusion.

QPR boss Marti Cifuentes has not been able to land a Loftus Road victory yet this season

The stats

QPR have lost five and drawn six of their last 11 games at Loftus Road in 90 minutes.

Norwich have only won two of their last 10 away games.

Publicidad

The Canaries are without a clean sheet in their last nine games.

Rangers are the lowest scorers in the Championship with 15 goals, Norwich are leading the way on 35.

QPR have scored the first goal of the match in just three out of the last 10 games at home.

Prediction

QPR have only mustered eight goals at Loftus Road in the Championship this season in nine games and they remain winless here in West London.

They now welcome a Norwich City side that is not exactly adept at winning on the road, with only two of their nine Championship road trips yielding maximum points.

That said, the Canaries begin a run of six matches this month with back-to-back away games against QPR and Portsmouth, the Championship's current bottom two, and will be eager to try and alter that stat before enjoying three of their next four at Carrow Road.

Spanish forward Borja Sainz is leading the Canaries' excellence in attack and has already bagged 15 Championship goals this season, landing him successive Player of the Month awards in the second tier in September and October.

He bagged a treble against Plymouth and made it four in two games when scoring last week in the 4-2 win over Luton. With winger Emiliano Marcondes and talented Croatian Ante Crnac he is part of a potent forward line and taking Sainz to score seems the smart play for this Championship clash.
