Trainer Richard Hannon looks set to give Mojo Star a final opportunity this season to land a major prize after impressing in the St Leger at Doncaster.

The talented three-year-old has put in some strong displays this year, including a second-place finish behind Adayar in the Derby at Epsom.

Mojo Star was slightly below par for his fifth place in the Irish Derby at the Curragh but responded well with a confidence-boosting victory in maiden company at Newbury in August.

The Sea The Stars colt then impressed in his last outing to finish second to Hurricane Lane in the St Leger and now connections are considering the next target for Mojo Star.

The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe is certainly one option, where Mojo Star could be pitted against the likes of Adayar and Hurricane Lane once again.

Alternatively, Mojo Star has also been entered in the Qipco Champion Stakes and the British Champions Long Distance Cup at Ascot.

With a number of options available, including action at Ascot on Champions Day, Hannon admits he and the owners from Amo Racing Limited are still in discussions over the next race.

Hannon said: "He's come out of the race fine and he'll probably run again [this year].

"I haven't discussed it yet with the owner. He (Mojo Star) has had a couple of days off out in the pen, so we'll see.

"He has loads of options. He's entered in races abroad and here — he's in the two-mile race on Champions Day.

"It's all about next year but he will have one more run this year."

Armor and Ryan Moore could be back in action at Newmarket later this month

Meanwhile, there are also decisions for Hannon and connections to make regarding the duo of Armor and Lusail, who finished second and fourth at Doncaster in the Flying Childers and Champagne Stakes respectively.

Newmarket could provide the next opportunity for the pair with the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes taking place on September 25.

Hannon has been happy with how the pair have come out of their efforts in West Yorkshire and feels Newmarket is an option, depending on the conditions on the Suffolk circuit.

Hannon added: "Armor ran a terrific race, and Lusail just doesn't act on that ground - he was just wheel-spinning the whole way.

"I thought Armor had the Flying Childers won, so I was gutted to get beat. He just got nailed on the line but that's how it goes.

"Both of them might have a go in the Middle Park. It just depends on ground."
