All eyes will be on Riyadh tonight when Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou collide in what is expected to be an explosive heavyweight encounter.

Former MMA world champ Ngannou, 37, stunned the boxing world when he floored Tyson Fury on his debut last October before losing a controversial split decision to the WBC kingpin.

He has a chance to prove his ability once again against two-time unified title-holder AJ, 34, in what will be just his second bout in the pro ranks.

The winner is in line for a showdown with the victor of the undisputed battle between Fury and WBO, WBA Super and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk, due to take place later this year.

And the biggest names in the boxing world have had their say ahead of the showdown.

Read on to see who they are backing.

Anthony Crolla (ex-lightweight champ)

I believe we'll see Joshua win inside five. He'll start fast and look to put Ngannou in his place.

Ngannou won't have the same unpredictability and be underestimated like Fury did.

Joseph Parker (ex-WBO world heavyweight champ)

I can't really call it. Ngannou is a good friend of mine and AJ is very respectful and we do have chats here and there.

It will be a good fight. May the best man win.

Joe Joyce (heavyweight contender)

It could go either way, it's a big fight. They're both powerful guys.

Publicidad

It could be a double KO, like the trailer. It's a 50/50 fight for me.

George Groves (ex-WBA world super-middleweight champ)

If Ngannou has improved from that first camp, Joshua is going to have his hands full.

But I'm going Joshua in rounds four to six. I think we'll see a devastating performance from him.

Eddie Hearn (Joshua's promoter)

If Ngannou thinks he'll outbox AJ, he'll have an absolute nightmare.

You don't want to be circling around the ring with Ngannou with the strength of him in the clinch and on the ropes. You need to take the middle of the ring.

You have to make Ngannou gas — and he will.
