Aaron Ramsey has completed a sensational return to Cardiff on a free transfer.

The former Arsenal and Juventus star, 32, returns for a third stint at his boyhood club in what is a major coup for the Bluebirds.

He said: "It feels unbelievable to finally be back here. I always thought one day I'd come back and now it's the perfect time to do that.

"To be back with my family and around familiar faces is just brilliant, so I'm delighted to be back here now.

"I've missed that a lot in the last year or so, so it was important for me to be back around them.

"Obviously I'm a Cardiff fan and watching them over the years since I've been away, we've had some low points but some big highs as well.

"That's a target of mine — to try and help my team-mates and this club get back to the Premier League.

"I've said it many times in the past — I owe so much to Cardiff, to the fans, to everybody who has been at the club when I was here as a young boy coming through.

"For me now to come full circle, to be part of this team and hopefully achieve the goals we want, there's no better feeling than that."

New boss Erol Bulut will be thrilled to have secured the services of the 81-cap Wales international.

Ramsey had several other offers on the table, including a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia's Pro League, but was keen to return home with his young family.

A modern-day icon in his country, the midfielder was instrumental in Wales' memorable run to the Euro 2016 semi-finals and was made captain for a second time earlier this year.

He spent last season with French outfit Nice, where he made 34 appearances across all competitions to help them secure a top-half finish in Ligue 1.

Ramsey has won Serie A, three FA Cups, the Coppa Italia and the Scottish Cup during a glittering career, which will see him write the next chapter in the Championship.
