Chelsea romped to a 3-0 win over AC Milan at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League last Wednesday and the Serie A giants will be after revenge when the teams lock horns at the San Siro on Tuesday.

Goals from Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Reece James earned Chelsea maximum points on Matchday 3 in the Champions League but Milan have since beaten Juventus in Serie A and an open contest looks on the cards in Italy.

Chelsea, meanwhile, followed up their win over Milan with victory by the same scoreline against Wolves on Saturday.

Team news

Milan are still in the midst of an injury crisis and, although defender Theo Hernandez is back in action, forward Charles De Ketelaere has joined a lengthy list of absentees featuring Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mike Maignan, Junior Messias, Alessandro Florenzi, Alexis Saelemaekers, Simon Kjaer and Davide Calabria.

As for Chelsea, they are set to be without Fofana, who came off injured against Milan last week, and industrious midfielder N'Golo Kante, who is still working his way back to full fitness.

The stats

Chelsea have made a strong start to life under Graham Potter, winning three and drawing one of the four matches they have played under his stewardship.

But, despite their loss to the Blues last week, Milan are also going well right now and have managed four wins in their last six games in all competitions.

Their expansive style of play has seen them involved in some high-scoring games this term and four of their last six matches have seen both teams score and over 2.5 goals.

Rafael Leao has been particularly dangerous on the flank for Milan, managing to score and assist 11 times in as many games this season.

Prediction

Those who do not follow Serie A may be quick to point to a Chelsea win at the San Siro given how comfortable Potter's side looked in the 3-0 victory at Stamford Bridge last week.

But on Saturday, Milan restored some confidence with a key 2-0 win over Juventus at the San Siro and they can be formidable opponents on their own patch.

Stefano Pioli is an accomplished manager who led the club to the Scudetto last season and his side can play their part in a high-scoring encounter with Chelsea.

Both Dinamo Zagreb and FC Salzburg will still fancy their chances in Group E, so neither Milan nor Chelsea can afford to rest on their laurels and both teams can be expected to attack this game.

With that in mind, both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at 11/10 via LiveScore Bet could be the way to go.

An expansive game could also play into the hands of Portuguese talent Leao, who was unlucky not to score against Juventus last time out, having rattled the woodwork twice.

In front of a home crowd, he could set the tone for Milan and could represent value to score the first goal of the game at 11/2.
