Stevenage’s winless run came to an end thanks to two late goals as they beat Crawley 3-1, putting Town deeper into relegation trouble.

Jamie Reid broke the visitors’ hearts on 89 minutes and then two minutes into stoppage time, Dan Kemp rubbed salt in the wounds.

It seemed as if Bradley Ibrahim’s equaliser with 20 minutes to go would earn the Reds something for their efforts, cancelling out Harvey White’s wonderful free-kick, but it was not to be.

For Boro, it was a first win in six games and their first goals in three.

White’s beautifully placed set-piece seemed for a long time as if it would be the difference. It was bent over the wall from 25 yards and found the corner to light up a half that lacked much goalmouth action.

The second half started with a free-kick blasted over the top by Kamari Doyle and then Panutche Camara also put one over the bar.

But Ibrahim squeezed a Jack Roles cross inside the post to seemingly gave Crawley hope.

That would be extinguished in those closing minutes as Reid headed home at the back post before a fine low finish from Kemp made the points secure.
