Braintree beat Altrincham 2-0 to pick up just their third Vanarama National League victory of the season.
On-loan Barnet winger Jermaine Francis headed Braintree into the lead after 17 minutes from Louie Annesley’s curling cross.
Altrincham came close to equalising on the hour mark when Jamal Fyfield headed the ball against his own post and Regan Linney put the rebound wide from close range.
Braintree made sure of the points in added time when John Akinde scored from the penalty spot after James Jones fouled Rio Davidson-Phipps in the box.
