- Both teams have scored in each of Wolves' last 12 matches
- Burnley have conceded 32 times in the Premier League this season
- Recommended bet: Tie or Burnley and over 2.5 goals

After moving off the bottom of the Premier League standings with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Sheffield United last time out, Burnley will head into Tuesday's trip to Wolves with renewed belief.

The Clarets had lost all seven of their home matches in the league this season prior to their dismantling of the Blades, a result that has also moved them to within two points of safety.

Wolves have also impressed at times this season, beating the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham, but they will head into this clash having lost three of their previous four.

Team news

Wolves have doubts surrounding the fitness of goalkeeper Jose Sa, who was forced off during the first half of Saturday's loss at Arsenal with a back issue, although head coach Gary O'Neil is hopeful the Portugal international will be fit to face Burnley.

Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes will be available after serving bans, but Pedro Neto remains a doubt with a hamstring injury and Joe Hodge is still sidelined with a shoulder issue.

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany could stick with the same starting XI that thrashed the Blades, with Jack Cork still sidelined with an unspecified issue, although goalkeeper Arijanet Muric could return to the matchday squad following illness.

The stats

Both teams have scored in each of Wolves' last 12 matches across league and cup, while O'Neil's side have not failed to find the back of the net since their opening game of the season.

Wolves have lost three of their last four Premier League matches, the only exception being a 2-1 win over Tottenham at Molineux before the international break.

Burnley had lost all seven of their top-flight home matches this season prior to beating Sheffield United.

Kompany's side have picked up more points on the road this season (four) than they have on their own patch (three).

The Clarets are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Wolves, recording four wins and three draws during that time.

Prediction

Burnley had looked little more than relegation fodder prior to Saturday's five-star showing against Sheffield United, but that victory could act as catalyst to their survival push.

The Clarets have scored in their last three games now and they will hope to both find the back of the net and take at least a point from their trip to Molineux to face a Wolves side who may have recorded some notable scalps this season, but they have also lost to Sheffield United and been held by Luton.

Wolves have both scored and conceded in each of their last 12 games and they should register against a Burnley side who have shipped 32 goals in 14 Premier League matches to date, but the hosts may still struggle to pick up all three points.
