- West Ham have won six of their last seven home games
- Brighton have picked up just one point from their last three away games
- Recommended bet: West Ham to win

West Ham are one of the Premier League’s form teams, picking up 12 points from the last 15 available ahead of a tough home clash with Brighton on Tuesday.

Both of these sides are involved in the battle for European qualification and Albion come into the clash on the back of an impressive 4-2 win over Tottenham, a victory that ended a three-game winless run.

The Hammers initially struggled for results at the London Stadium but appear to have hit their stride with 10 points from their last four games, and home advantage could prove the difference here.

Team news

West Ham will probably be without key midfielder Lucas Paqueta due to a knee injury, with Michail Antonio and Kurt Zouma also struggling with similar issues.

Zouma is in with a chance of making a return and Nayef Aguerd is also rated as a doubt due to illness.

Aguerd and Mohammed Kudus are set to head to AFCON this month but, if fit, they should both feature for the final time before linking up with their respective national teams.

Brighton have a huge injury list with Joel Veltman, Ansu Fati, Julio Enciso, Kaoru Mitoma, Simon Adingra, Solly March, Adam Webster and Tariq Lamptey all missing.

Boss Roberto De Zerbi will also be without defensive talisman Lewis Dunk due to suspension, while Igor and Facundo Buonanotte are rated as doubts.

The stats

West Ham have won eight of their last 11 games at home across all competitions (drawn two, lost one).

Brighton have won just one of their last seven away games in the Premier League.

The Hammers won the reverse fixture 3-1 in August.

West Ham have managed three consecutive clean sheets at home.

The Seagulls have conceded 19 goals in nine away games in the league.

Prediction

West Ham won 3-1 in the reverse fixture when these sides met back in August and they look well placed to complete a league double over Brighton.

The Hammers have hit some form in recent weeks and head into the game seeking a fourth straight Premier League victory.

David Moyes' men have beaten Manchester United and title hopefuls Arsenal during their current purple patch, and they should have too much for this injury-hit Albion outfit.

The visitors have struggled for results on the road since mid-September and have won just one of their last seven away games in the Premier League, losing four of those.

West Ham could be without Paqueta and that is a concern as he has arguably been their star performer in recent weeks.

However, they were able to see off the Gunners despite the fact he missed the majority of that game and Brighton also have some major selection issues.

De Zerbi has a big injury list to contend with and the absence of key defender Dunk is a major blow.

Brighton have just one point to show from their last three away games and in-form West Ham have three wins in their last four league games at home, so a victory for the hosts looks the best option here.
