Weekend acca predictions: Five teams to back across Europe

Julian Schuster's Freiburg are without a win in their last four Bundesliga matches.

It is another jam-packed weekend of football across the continent and we have picked out five teams worth backing across Europe's biggest leagues.

Saturday, 2.30pm

Back Freiburg to beat Borussia Monchengladbach @ 17/20

Freiburg were humbled 4-0 by Borussia Dortmund last Saturday, but the 63rd-minute sending-off of Patrick Osterhage did not help their cause and they can bounce back against Borussia Monchengladbach.

A trip to Signal Iduna Park was never going to be easy and the Black Forest club will be pleased to return to Europa Park, where they have won three of their five league contests this term.

Gladbach have won just once on the road in the league and should be opposed.

Back Celta Vigo to beat Espanyol @ 57/50

Celta Vigo have established themselves in the mid-table positions in LaLiga and they should be far too strong for Espanyol, who are in the relegation zone.

Celta have taken five points from their last three games against Getafe, Real Betis and Barcelona and should be in confident mood this weekend.

Espanyol, meanwhile, were thrashed 4-1 by Girona last Saturday, extending their losing streak to four games in the Spanish top-flight.

Back Bayern Munich to beat Borussia Dortmund @ 3/5

Der Klassiker returns on Saturday evening and Bayern Munich should have the edge over rivals Borussia Dortmund.

Not only have Bayern strung together seven successive wins in all competitions, but they have done so without conceding and Vincent Kompany has found a winning formula.

Dortmund, meanwhile, have blown hot and cold and will be without Karim Adeyemi at Signal Iduna Park, where their attack could be thwarted by a Bayern defence which has conceded just seven times in 11 league fixtures this term.

Vincenzo Italiano has taken time to make his mark at Bologna.

Back Bologna to beat Venezia @ 3/5

Bologna's Champions League struggles continued with a 2-1 defeat to Lille on Wednesday, but in Serie A they have shown signs of improvement.

They were humbled 3-0 by Lazio last Sunday, but beforehand they had won three league games on the spin against Cagliari, Lecce and Roma.

They are starting to find their feet domestically and should be too strong for basement boys Venezia, who have lost nine of their 13 league fixtures.

Sunday, 4pm

Back Lyon to beat Nice @ 22/25

Lyon have been hit with a transfer ban and provisionally relegated to Ligue 2 due to financial mismanagement and face an uphill battle off the pitch to secure their top-flight status.

On the pitch, however, they have been going well and their 4-1 hammering of Qarabag on Thursday made it six games unbeaten in all competitions.

They should have the edge over Nice, who lost 4-1 to Rangers in the Europa League, also on Thursday.
