Transfer Talk: Benzema expected to extend stay at Madrid
Karim Benzema is reportedly close to extending his contract at Real Madrid until 2024.
Benzema, 34, has scored 327 goals for Los Blancos in 613 appearances, winning five Champions League and four LaLiga titles with the Spanish giants.
The Frenchman's current deal is set to expire next summer, but transfer guru Fabrizio Romano believes the striker is set to prolong his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Benzema has long since confirmed his desire to remain at Madrid, with both parties confident that it is just a matter of time before a deal is agreed.
Last season alone, Benzema scored 44 times and provided 15 assists in just 46 matches.
Playing a pivotal role in Real's LaLiga and Champions League triumphs last term, the former Lyon man is hot favourite to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or this month.
