Transfer Talk: Roma seek to finalise Lukaku loan deal
Roma are eager to agree a loan deal for Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku, 30, has been absent from all three of Mauricio Pochettino’s matchday squads so far this season as Stamford Bridge chiefs aim to offload the Belgian forward.
Inter Milan have ended their interest with Juventus stalling negotiations, opening the door for Roma to find an agreement.
On Friday, Giallorossi boss Jose Mourinho refused to be drawn into speculation, saying: "We will have good options in attack. I'm calm and I'm waiting."
But Italian media claim club representatives have flown to London to get a deal over the line.
Chelsea manager Pochettino said ahead of Friday's victory over Luton: "There was a wish between the club and the player to try to find a solution.
"At the moment, we are relaxed and nothing happened. If something changes, we will inform."
Lukaku has three years remaining on his contract with the Blues but has not played a game for the West Londoners since May 2022, having spent last season on loan at Inter.
