Richarlison has bid an emotional goodbye to Everton supporters after signing a five-year deal with Tottenham.

The Brazilian, 25, joins the North Londoners for a fee believed to be in the region of £60million including add-ons, ending his four-year spell at Goodison Park.

Capped 36 times since making his Selecao debut in 2018, Richarlison was part of the side that won the Copa America in 2019 and the Olympic Games in 2020.

He scored 53 times in 152 outings for the Toffees, including 10 Premier League goals last term as Frank Lampard's men narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship.

On leaving the Merseysiders, the South American said: "It's very difficult to say goodbye to a place that has become my home, fans who welcomed me not just as another player, but as if I were one of them, in the stands.

"A club that treated me kindly and helped me develop my sense of community and empathy.

"No words and not all the love I have for this club is enough to thank you. We'll see you along the way! I love you Evertonians."

Richarlison becomes Spurs' fourth summer signing after Yves Bissouma moved from Brighton for £25m and Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster signed on free transfers.

The forward will be expected to provide competition for Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski.

Ex-Arsenal striker Alan Smith told Sky Sports: "It's a great deal for Spurs. Obviously, with Antonio Conte and the strong position he's in having got them qualified for the Champions League, he's an ambitious manager and he would have demanded money to strengthen the squad, and he's clearly got it.

"The Richarlison deal is interesting. He doesn't immediately strike me as a Conte player but he's a very talented boy and he has a great desire for the game.

"However, he can blow hot and cold, temperamentally as well so I'm sure Conte will try to get a grip of him.

"Where will he play? When you are buying him for that amount of money you are assuming he will play, so it will probably be on that right side with Heung-Min Son on the left and Harry Kane through the middle.

"That is quite a strike force if they can harness Richarlison's abilities."
