Alan King's Trueshan is tipped to win the opener on Champions Day at Ascot

It is British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday where there are four Group One races making up a fantastic card at the Berkshire racecourse.

Each division in Flat racing reaches a conclusion for the season at this meeting and it is sure to be a thrilling day of action.

1.25pm - Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup (2m - Group 2)

We are set to see another fascinating battle between TRUESHAN and Stradivarius in the Long Distance Cup. Although conditions are unlikely to be on the heavy side, the ground should favour the former.

Alan King's runner comes into this race on the back of a victory on Arc day at Longchamp.

It has been an excellent season for the five-year-old gelding and he can cap it off with another major success.

LiveScore Selection: Trueshan

2pm - Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes (6f - Group 1)

ART POWER produced a dominant display on his last outing to win the Group Three Renaissance Stakes at the Curragh last month.

He sets the standard here by having finished a close third in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes earlier in the season.

With no Dream Of Dreams in this race, Art Power can capture the first Group One win of his career.

There is a big field for him to overcome, but many of the runners in the race will struggle at this level.

2.35pm - Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes (1m4f - Group 1)

The ground at Ascot on Saturday is expected to benefit Aidan O'Brien's Snowfall
The ground at Ascot on Saturday is expected to benefit Aidan O'Brien's Snowfall

Dual Classic winner SNOWFALL is back in action just 13 days after finishing sixth in the Arc.

The Oaks winner returns against her own sex and she can dominate this division once again.

Aidan O'Brien's filly encountered this Good To Soft ground at Epsom and she flourished on it, winning by 16 lengths.

The daughter of Deep Impact has been one of the leading three-year-olds this season and victory in this race will help her cement that position.

LiveScore Selection: Snowfall

3.10pm - Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (1m - Group 1)

Arguably the most fascinating clash on British Champions Day will be that between PALACE PIER and Baaeed.

The leading miler in European racing takes on an unbeaten colt who is looking to capture that tag in the near future.

John and Thady Gosden's stable star has won all four of his races this season, three of which have been at Group One level.

It will need a huge performance to beat Palace Pier and although he has a very worthy challenger, he remains the one to beat.

LiveScore Selection: Palace Pier

3.50pm - Qipco Champions Stakes (1m2f - Group One)

Connections will hope Adayar can bounce back from a tough last outing at Longchamp
Connections will hope Adayar can bounce back from a tough last outing at Longchamp

It is a fantastic renewal of the Qipco Champion Stakes which includes last year's champion Addeybb, Derby winner ADAYAR and globetrotting star Mishriff.

The Epsom winner will receive weight from both of his rivals and that could make the difference.

Charlie Appleby's runner did not enjoy the heavy ground in the Arc, finishing fourth behind three very good horses at Longchamp.

Conditions are more in his favour here, so expect to see him confirm his form with Mishriff from the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at this course.

LiveScore Selection: Adayar
