A seven-race meeting from Newton Abbot is our focus on Tuesday

Newton Abbot is one of the leading summer jumps racecourses in the UK and they are hosting an evening meeting on the final day of August.

The opening race from South Devon venue comes at 4.25pm and they will be racing until the finale at 7.30pm.

Here are five horses to follow across the meeting.

4.25pm - NewtonAbbotRace on Twitter Maiden Hurdle (2m2½f)

This opening race looks a great opportunity for BEHOLDEN to prevail for the first time over hurdles.

This horse has been successful on the Flat and in a bumper, but he has had to settle for minor honours in his three appearances over obstacles to date.

Jamie Snowden's runner has much stronger form than any of his rivals in this race.

He will wear cheekpieces for the first time and it would be a huge surprise if he did not come out on top in this maiden hurdle.

5.30pm - Racing Partnership TRP Handicap Hurdle (2m1f)

With five consecutive wins to his name now, CHEZ HANS has been dominant over hurdles over the summer.

His last victory came in a novice hurdle event over this C&D where he destroyed his rivals by 20 lengths.

Paul Nicholls' runner is now back in handicap company so the task will be tougher this time. However, he has only gone up 3lb for his last handicap victory.

Ben Bromley will take 7lb off his back again so he could still be ahead of the handicapper. He should extend his winning sequence to an incredible six races.

6.30pm - Talk Tidy Marketing Handicap Chase (3m2f)

SIZING CUSIMANO has been at the top of his game recently.

He recorded back-to-back wins at Uttoxeter. His hat-trick attempt was foiled last month as he had to settle for second place of five on his return to Uttoxeter (3m), going down by just a neck.

Colin Tizzard's runner remains off the same mark as his recent near miss so a third win in four starts can come here.

7pm - Visit Attheraces.com Handicap Hurdle (2m1f)

It took COURT DANCER 11 attempts to get off the mark but he finally managed it on his last outing at Uttoxeter (2m).

e made a mistake at the last hurdle, but it was not enough for him to be denied as he finished the race strongly.

The handicapper has been lenient as he has only gone up 2lb in the ratings. If he can repeat his latest performance, he will have a strong chance of doubling his tally.

7.30pm - Talk Tidy Marketing Handicap Chase (3m2f)

There are only three runners for this handicap chase to finish the card at Newton Abbot but it's a fascinating contest.

RUTHLESS ARTICLE made all when he broke his maiden over fences on his penultimate outing at Aintree (2m4f).

He fell at Stratford (2m5f) on his follow up attempt.

That mistake last time from Rebecca Curtis' runner should be forgiven. It came at the last when he was tiring.

With more schooling under his belt since that run, expect to see a much slicker performance from the eight-year-old.

LiveScore selection: Ruthless Article
