Draw

Monday night football takes place at the City Ground this week with Nottingham Forest playing host to slow starters Crystal Palace.

The Tricky Trees went into the international break winless in three games against Brighton, Fulham and Chelsea, while the Eagles are still chasing their first league victory of the season.

Pressure is mounting on Oliver Glasner with Palace having gone into the international break in 18th spot in the top flight.

Team news

Morgan Gibbs-White is injured and suspended so will not feature for Nottingham Forest, while James Ward-Prowse is also serving a ban after his red card against Chelsea.

Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare are both sidelined through injury for the Tricky Trees.

Crystal Palace have no new injuries to report and should welcome back both Adam Wharton and Daniel Munoz for this contest.

The stats

Nottingham Forest have failed to win any of their last six home games in the Premier League.

Three of Crystal Palace's last five games in the Premier League have finished as draws.

Both teams have scored in four of Nottingham Forest's last six assignments in all competitions.

Chris Wood is again in the goals, having netted four times in the Premier League for Nottingham Forest this season.

Prediction

After such a positive end to the 2023-24 campaign under Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace have fallen apart this season and find themselves in a precarious position in the Premier League.

Heading into the international break, the Eagles were winless from their opening seven league fixtures and down in 18th spot in the top flight.

But the recent hiatus should have given Glasner time to reassess things and it has not been a complete nightmare with the Croydon club having taken points off Chelsea, Leicester and Manchester United in September.

Indeed, three of their last five league games have finished all square and the draw could be the way to go when they visit Nottingham.

Forest drew their most recent game with Chelsea 1-1 at Stamford Bridge and have also shared the spoils with Bournemouth, Wolves and Brighton this campaign.

Their attacking threat will be hindered by the absence of creative outlet Morgan Gibbs-White for Monday's contest and customers should not be in a rush to back them, given they are winless in their last three matches.
