The Toffees earned a draw from a spirited display against Tottenham last week, coming from behind twice to grab a 2-2 draw with an injury-time equaliser, but this looks like a different kettle of fish, particularly as they have failed to win their last six matches in the league.

City, meanwhile, have been quietly going about their business and, with De Bruyne and Haaland both fit, they look a formidable force for the rest of the campaign.

De Bruyne was inspired in aiding midfield colleague Phil Foden to help himself to a hat-trick in Monday’s win at Brentford, while it will surely only be a matter of time before Haaland is back to his marauding best after a spell on the sidelines.

City proved in their last home game against Burnley that they can take their eye off the ball when the job is done and concede and it should not be forgotten that the home side set the ball rolling at Brentford.

However, their ability up front is second to none and they will continually go for the jugular however many goals they go into the lead, so, while Everton could contribute to the final scoreline, expect City to win and there to be at least four goals.
