Gateshead avenged a bad tackle on Greg Olley by claiming a 2-0 Vanarama National League victory over 10-man Woking at Kingfield Stadium.

Woking captain Dion Kelly-Evans was sent off for taking Olley out from behind in the 13th minute and once the teams had returned to their changing rooms – with the midfielder receiving lengthy treatment – the officials signalled a further delay of 30 minutes.

Olley was taken to hospital in an ambulance and when play resumed, Gateshead scored the goals needed to keep them at the top of the table.

Kenton Richardson was the first to strike shortly before half-time and Mark Beck added the second in the 79th minute.
