LiveScore Racing Preview: Lingfield, August 26, 2021
Lingfield hosts the latest leg of the Racing League on Thursday evening, when all the respective teams will be chasing vital points.
And we have picked out five horses for you to follow.
5.10pm - William Hill Free Or Four Racing League R25 (5f)
With two wins from his four starts this season, PEERLESS has been in excellent form.
His most recent success came over this C&D. He stayed on in that contest to get up late on.
Ed Walker's gelding came very close to following up his victory at this course when he finished second of seven at Bath over the extended 5f trip.
He went down by just a short head. A 2lb rise in the weights is unlikely to be enough to stop him from recording another win.
LiveScore Selection: Peerless
5.40pm - William Hill Pick Your Places Racing League R26 (6f)
NATURAL PATH has fared quite well in his two starts since moving to Michael Bell's yard from France.
He has yet to prevail but he has been in contention at the finish on both occasions. He remains off a mark of 78, which gives him a good chance of scoring for the first time in the UK.
The four-year-old is only having his second shot at this 6f distance.
He has prevailed three times in France so his first victory on these shores is surely only a matter of time away.
LiveScore Selection: Natural Path
6.10pm - William Hill Double Your Odds Racing League R27 (7f)
Roger Varian's colt DINOO got off the mark at the fifth attempt on his latest appearance at Haydock in a novice over this 7f distance.
He did so in impressive style, scoring by four lengths, and the son of Starspangledbanner is back in handicap company now.
On the evidence of his last performance, he is well treated off this mark of 90, so he has a great chance of doubling his tally.
LiveScore Selection: Dinoo
6.40pm William Hill Lengthen Your Odds Racing League R28 (7½f)
HONG KONG HARRY has yet to taste defeat on turf.
He has prevailed in all three of his starts on the surface, including two wins at Ayr this season. His sole defeat in five appearances came at Southwell (7f) on the AW.
Richard Fahey's runner won going away last time at the Scottish racecourse.
He will need to defy a 6lb rise in the ratings but he remains open to improvement.
LiveScore Selection: Hong Kong Harry
7.10pm - William Hill Build Your Odds Racing League R29 (1m2f)
Seven-year-old ANYTHINGTODAY recently moved yards to George Boughey and that change in environment looks to have helped the horse.
He scored on his first outing for his new trainer at Newmarket (1m) last month.
The gelding is stepping up to 1m2f now but he has won at this distance before. He also remains off a very workable mark based on his best form.
