Mark Robins will hope to see Stoke claim a crucial win at home to fellow strugglers Plymouth.

- Leeds have a three-point cushion at the top of the table
- Plymouth remain bottom but are only four points from safety
- Burnley move up into second on goal difference

Twenty of the 24 Championship teams are back in action on Saturday, with derbies between Blackburn and Burnley, as well as Hull and Leeds, the highlights.

There is also a game day scheduled on Sunday and Monday before the Championship takes a break for the third round of the FA Cup.

Blackburn Rovers vs Burnley (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Blackburn's winless run is now at four games after their 1-1 draw with Leeds, but that is a positive result for John Eustace's side.

Burnley are unbeaten in 12 and look to have the upper hand ahead of kick-off.

Score prediction: Blackburn 0-1 Burnley

Stoke City vs Plymouth (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Mark Robins will take charge of Stoke for the first time this weekend against strugglers Plymouth.

The Potters are unbeaten in two and should benefit from their new manager bounce against the Pilgrims.

Score prediction: Stoke 2-0 Plymouth

Swansea vs West Brom (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Swansea were thumped 4-0 by Portsmouth on Wednesday and that should give West Brom hope as they try to stretch their unbeaten run to three games.

Score prediction: Swansea 1-2 West Brom

Bristol City vs Derby (Saturday, 3pm)

Bristol City are building some momentum as they try to finish in the play-offs this season and they are unbeaten in three ahead of a clash with Derby.

The Robins are unbeaten in four at home, keeping a clean sheet in three of those games and they should keep Derby at bay.

Score prediction: Bristol City 2-0 Derby

Hull vs Leeds (Saturday, 3pm)

The Tigers are improving under new manager Ruben Selles, but getting a result against the league leaders is a different proposition.

Leeds are unbeaten in seven and continue to set the standard under manager Daniel Farke.

Score prediction: Hull 0-2 Leeds

Middlesbrough vs Cardiff (Saturday, 3pm)

Michael Carrick's Middlesbrough are unbeaten in five and should have too much quality for a Cardiff side who have won once on their travels in 12 attempts.

Score prediction: Middlesbrough 2-0 Cardiff

Norwich vs Coventry (Saturday, 3pm)

While Norwich are unbeaten in three in the second tier, they face a Coventry side that are proving to be stubborn customers under Frank Lampard, this game should be a close battle.

Score prediction: Norwich 1-1 Coventry

Preston vs Oxford (Saturday, 3pm)

Preston are unbeaten in six at Deepdale, but they will struggle to break down Oxford, who have now won three matches on the bounce under new manager Gary Rowett.

Score prediction: Preston 1-1 Oxford

Alex Neil will want to see Millwall move further clear of the Championship relegation dogfight.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Millwall (Saturday, 3pm)

Millwall coach Alex Neil has his work cut out in the capital, with the Lions scoring twice in seven games, so Sheffield Wednesday look good value to win their third game in succession at Hillsborough.

Score prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Millwall

Watford vs Sheffield United (Saturday, 3pm)

Both Watford and Sheffield United have struggled for consistency over the Christmas period and a draw would be a welcomed result for both clubs.

The Hornets have lost two on the spin, conceding five in that time, while the Blades have let in the same amount of goals during a three-match winless run.

Score prediction: Watford 1-1 Sheffield United

Sunderland vs Portsmouth (Sunday, 3pm)

Portsmouth lifted spirits with a 4-0 win over Swansea but that came at home. Pompey have won once on the road all season, so expect Sunderland to have too much class for them at the Stadium of Light.

Score prediction: Sunderland 2-1 Portsmouth

QPR vs Luton (Monday, 8pm)

Luton continue to struggle in the Championship and after three successive defeats, they should fall short against a QPR side that are unbeaten in five at home.

Score prediction: QPR 2-0 Luton
