- Week two of the new season begins on Friday as Union Berlin host St. Pauli
- The game of the weekend is Saturday's clash between Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig
- Bayern Munich round off the weekend against Freiburg on Sunday

There were wins for all of the Bundesliga's big hitters over the opening weekend of the season, but can the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund follow up during week two?

We run through all nine matches in the Bundesliga this weekend and provide a score prediction for each.

Union Berlin vs St. Pauli (Friday, 7.30pm)

Newly promoted St. Pauli lost head coach Fabian Hurzeler over the summer and could be in for a tough season after suffering a 2-0 home defeat to Heidenheim in their Bundesliga opener.

Next up is a trip to a Union Berlin team that picked up 23 of their 33 points on home turf last season and they should prove too strong for the visitors.

Score prediction: Union Berlin 2-0 St. Pauli

Bochum vs Borussia Monchengladbach (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Both these sides were spirited in defeat on the opening weekend, Bochum losing 1-0 at RB Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach being edged out 3-2 at home by champions Leverkusen.

Gladbach were seconds away from taking a point off Leverkusen and they can get off the mark in this one against a Bochum side they beat home and away last season by an aggregate score of 8-3.

Score prediction: Bochum 1-3 Borussia Monchengladbach

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Hoffenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Eintracht Frankfurt lost at Borussia Dortmund on the opening weekend, but they were only beaten twice on their own patch last season and can get the better of a Hoffenheim team who edged a five-goal thriller with newly promoted Holstein Kiel last time out.

Score prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Hoffenheim

Holstein Kiel vs Wolfsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Holstein Kiel's first home match in the Bundesliga could be an entertaining one after both they and visitors Wolfsburg were edged out 3-2 on the opening weekend.

Wolfsburg lost 10 of 17 away matches in the league last season, but showed enough against Bayern Munich last time out to suggest they can avoid defeat in this one.

Stuttgart vs Mainz (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Stuttgart lost their league opener at Freiburg and, after the departures of key players such as Hiroki Ito and Serhou Guirassy over the summer, they will likely struggle to replicate last season's heroics, when they finished second.

Mainz drew their league opener and shared the spoils in over half of their away matches last term. Bo Henriksen's side can avoid defeat at the MHPArena.

Score prediction: Stuttgart 1-1 Mainz

Werder Bremen vs Borussia Dortmund (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Borussia Dortmund have won their opening two matches across league and cup under Nuri Sahin, running in six goals in the process, while they have triumphed on their last four visits to Werder Bremen, scoring exactly twice on each occasion.

Score prediction: Werder Bremen 0-2 Borussia Dortmund

Bayer Leverkusen vs RB Leipzig (Saturday, 5.30pm)

The game of the weekend in the Bundesliga will see champions Leverkusen look to extend their unbeaten record in the German top-flight to 36 matches.

Both Bayer and opponents Leipzig were narrow winners on matchday one and this could be a closely fought contest too, with both meetings last season having ended in 3-2 victories for Xabi Alonso's side.

Score prediction: Bayer Leverkusen 3-2 RB Leipzig

Heidenheim vs Augsburg (Sunday, 2.30pm)

Heidenheim have had a busy start to the campaign, juggling domestic action with their endeavours in Europe and, with this game coming off the back of a Conference League clash with Hacken, they may not be at their fluid best against Augsburg, who did the double over them last season.

Score prediction: Heidenheim 0-1 Augsburg

Bayern Munich vs Freiburg (Sunday, 4.30pm)

Bayern Munich were not at their best but did beat Wolfsburg 3-2 last time out in Vincent Kompany's first Bundesliga match in charge, but they face another stern test against a Freiburg side that opened with victory over Stuttgart.

Freiburg won at the Allianz Arena two seasons ago in the DFB-Pokal and they are capable of upsetting the 33-time German champions, but Bayern should still have enough to edge this one.

Score prediction: Bayern Munich 2-1 Freiburg
