- Blackburn have scored 12 goals in three matches
- Oxford have scored exactly two goals in each of their three games
- Recommended bet:
Over 3.5 Goals

Free-scoring Blackburn have made the brightest of starts to the season though they will not be taking Championship newcomers Oxford lightly.

Rovers have taken four points from two games and scored 12 goals in three, including the six they rattled up at Stockport in the League Cup.

But Oxford look at home having beaten Norwich 2-0 and come within seconds of getting a point at Coventry.

Team news

Arnor Sigurdsson is pushing Tyrhys Dolan for the No.10 slot in John Eustace's 4-2-3-1 Rovers' set-up.

Yuki Ohashi has scored in two games, both off the bench, so will be pushing for a start either instead of Makhtar Gueye or out wide.

Oxford's Matt Phillips could come in for a start on the left side of Des Buckingham's 4-5-1.

Blackburn have scored 12 goals in three matches this season. New signing Yuki Ohashi has scored four goals in three appearances.

Rovers have drawn five of their last eight home fixtures.

Oxford have scored exactly two goals in each of their last four competitive matches.

Prediction

Two teams being talked up for relegation at the start of the season are now being talked up for the entertainment they are providing ahead of their showdown at Ewood Park.

It is far too early to presume relegation, or the prospect of it, will not return to the agenda as the season wears on, but for now these are two relatively happy camps.

Blackburn would have hoped to have opened their campaign by beating Derby and duly obliged 4-2. They then smashed six past Stockport in the League Cup before beginning life without top marksman Sammie Szmodics by earning a 2-2 draw at Norwich after being two down.

New signing Yuki Ohashi has hit the ground running with four goals and having beaten one promoted side in front of their own fans, they would expect to mirror that feat against the team who came up via the play-offs.

But Oxford are also pleased with their work. They beat Norwich 2-0 in their opener, Peterborough by the same score in the League Cup and suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 loss at Coventry last time, having twice fought back to level from a goal down.

They are playing with 43 percent possession and will expect to see less of the ball than their opponents but they are a threat on the counter and have their own on-song goal-getter in Mark Harris.

There is every reason to think this will be open and exciting and betting Over 3.5 Goals at 9/5 with LiveScore Bet would seem worthy of consideration.
