Holders Chelsea will face Manchester United in the Women's FA Cup semi-finals in a repeat of last season's final.

The Blues beat Marc Skinner's side 1-0 at Wembley last May as Sam Kerr's second-half goal proved decisive.

And they are set to do battle once again in the competition following today's draw, which also paired Tottenham with Leicester.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, ex-England goalkeeper Rachel Brown-Finnis said: "That is the perfect draw.

"United vs Chelsea is a wonderful tie and that leaves the two teams that have not got this far in the competition before with the chance to make a first final."

Chelsea booked their place in the final four thanks to Catarina Macario's goal against Everton, while United thumped Brighton 4-0 to advance.

Spurs knocked out Manchester City 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw and Leicester, without boss Willie Kirk due to an ongoing investigation, won 2-0 at Liverpool.

Speaking after Sunday's dramatic shootout success, boss Robert Vilahamn said: "I think we deserved it. The game tonight is amazing, all the players coming in, you could feel it."

Chelsea are chasing a quadruple in the final season of a trophy-laden spell under Emma Hayes, who will take charge of the United States Women's team in the summer.

They face Ajax in the quarter-finals of the Champions League later this month and have a date with Arsenal in the Conti Cup final on March 31, while they are also top of the Women's Super League on goal difference.

But if the Blues are to successfully defend the FA Cup, they will have to do it without last season's Wembley hero Kerr.

The Aussie star, 30, suffered an ACL injury during the club's warm weather training camp in Morocco in January.
