West Ham to win

After sacking Julen Lopetegui, West Ham moved quickly to appoint former Brighton and Chelsea boss Graham Potter as their new manager.

Potter started his tenure with a 2-1 FA Cup defeat at Aston Villa on Friday night but the real work begins on Tuesday with his maiden Premier League game at the helm.

First up is the arrival of Fulham, who have been going well in the league this season and currently occupy ninth place in the standings.

It is certainly not an easy start for Potter in the league with his new club but is still a winnable game against a Cottagers side who do not have a great record when it comes to visits to the London Stadium.

Team news

Starting with the hosts, Potter has decisions to make in attack, with Niclas Fullkrug set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury suffered against Villa.

Publicidad

With Michail Antonio out for the season and Jarrod Bowen absent until February, Danny Ings could be handed an opportunity to start on Tuesday.

As for Fulham, they have no fresh injury concerns after Saturday's 4-1 win over Watford in the FA Cup.

That means Kenny Tete is the only player still sidelined, with Harrison Reed recently returning to feature against the Hornets from off the bench.

The stats

West Ham have a good record in this fixture at the London Stadium, winning five of their last six home games against Fulham.

The Cottagers have failed to score in half of their last six visits to this venue against the Hammers.

Publicidad

Fulham have become draw specialists in the Premier League, drawing five of their last six league fixtures.

Prediction

The London Stadium has proved to be a tough hunting ground for Fulham

While Villa proved too strong in the end for the Hammers in their cup meeting, there were some early positive signs from West Ham under their new boss Potter.

It will take time for the manager to really have his impact on this team but West Ham look capable of bagging three important points against Fulham in this one.

The London Stadium has not been a happy hunting ground for Fulham over the years and, with a new-manager bounce, West Ham are good value to land the three points on home soil.
