Sunderland will be hoping to maintain their place in the Championship play-offs on Tuesday when they travel to struggling Rotherham, while there are four other matches taking place on a busy night of football.

Rotherham vs Sunderland (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

The stats

Rotherham have lost their last two matches - going down 2-1 at Reading and 2-0 against Coventry - to extend their winless streak in the Championship to five games.

The Millers have only managed to win one of their last seven assignments at the AESSEAL New York Stadium and have slipped to 21st place in the table, just one position and two points above the relegation zone.

Publicidad

Sunderland are on a 10-game unbeaten streak away from home across all competitions, with their last defeat on the road a 2-0 loss at Blackburn in October 2022, while 26 of their 49 league points have come on their travels.

Prediction

The Black Cats have been on a fine run on their travels, collecting 16 points from the last 24 on offer, and they look like they can chalk up another away victory against struggling Rotherham.

Norwich vs Birmingham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Consistency has been an issue for Norwich under David Wagner

The stats

Norwich have struggled for consistency in February, having lost two, drawn one and won one of their four games, but they are still only three points off the play-off positions and are in with a shout of ending up in the top six.

Publicidad

The Canaries have the sixth-best scoring record in the league - netting 43 times - but they have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven matches at Carrow Road.

Birmingham are on a two-game losing streak and are still involved in a relegation battle, with seven points the gap to the bottom three in the division.

The Blues have been in good form in terms of scoring away from home of late, netting 11 goals in their last five across all competitions, while they have also netted in two of their last three trips to Norwich.

Prediction

It is difficult to pick a winner from this contest, so the better option looks to be for both teams to get on the scoresheet.

Neither side are defensively sound, but they both know how to score at the other end.

Swansea vs Stoke (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

The stats

Swansea have only picked up one win from their last six games across all competitions - a 2-1 success over Blackpool - but they have produced better performances at home.

The Swans have won two of their last four Championship matches at the Swansea.com Stadium, beating Watford 4-0 and the Tangerines 2-1, while one of the two defeats during this period was a narrow 2-1 loss to table-topping Burnley.

Publicidad

Stoke suffered a disappointing 1-0 reverse at Blackpool last time out, making it three away defeats in a row for the Potters following previous losses to Sheffield United and Luton.

Prediction

Stoke have only won one of their last six away games in the league, a run of form that still has them involved in a relegation battle, and Swansea should have enough playing on home soil to pile the misery on the Potters.
