Manchester United are lining up a potential move for Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite.

The 21-year-old has been a key player for Sean Dyche so far this term, starting every Premier League match since the 4-0 thrashing at Aston Villa in August.

Branthwaite also made his debut for England Under-21s this summer and played the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 win over Germany at this summer's European Championship.

According to the Daily Mail, the Toffees starlet is now on United's radar as they seek to bolster their defence next year.

Harry Maguire's future will once again be up in the air, so Branthwaite could be viewed as a potential replacement for the ex-Red Devils captain.

The Everton defender spent last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven and the move proved hugely beneficial for his progress.

He made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and impressing under the management of former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Branthwaite is one of three reported options for Erik ten Hag, alongside Benfica's Antonio Silva and Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo.
