Morocco star Hakim Ziyech has refused to rule out leaving Chelsea in January as AC Milan reignite their interest.

The winger joined the Blues for £33.3million in 2020 but has struggled to impress on a regular basis at Stamford Bridge.

Having started just once in the Premier League this term, the 29-year-old has admitted he may have to seek pastures new.

Asked about his future following Morocco’s 0-0 World Cup draw with Croatia on Wednesday, Ziyech said: "We don’t know what will happen in the winter. It’s football, so it’s difficult to say."

The Evening Standard understand those comments have left Serie A champions Milan on red alert after attempting to sign the attacker last summer.

It is indicated the Rossoneri are eager to seal a six-month loan deal for the Chelsea man after losing Alexis Saelemaekers to a long-term knee injury.

A host of Premier League sides are also linked with the former Ajax playmaker, with The Metro crediting Manchester United and Tottenham with an interest.

The Standard say Milan are also keen on Blues striker Armando Broja but Chelsea chiefs will reject any approach for the Albania international, who does not want to leave.
