With the return of Premier League football only a month away, Harry Kane's future remains unclear.

The Tottenham talisman is still being courted by German giants Bayern Munich and is reportedly open to all options ahead of showdown talks with new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou this week.

If Kane does depart his boyhood club, securing a top-class replacement will be crucial for the North Londoners.

We run the rule over five potential options.

Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus)

Before sealing a £62million switch to Juventus 18 months ago, a host of Premier League clubs were tracking Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic.

The imposing Serbian, 23, had forged a reputation as a fearsome finisher with Fiorentina but the goals have dried up somewhat in Turin — notching just 23 times in 63 games for the Old Lady.

Yet Vlahovic boasts a strikingly similar skill set to Kane, ranking among Serie A's top 10 centre forwards last term for big chances created, long passes and possession regains despite his struggles.

A move to North London could reinvigorate his stalling career.

Randal Kolo Muani (Eintracht Frankfurt)

One forward desperate to seal a big-money move this summer is Eintracht Frankfurt hotshot Randal Kolo Muani.

The French forward, 24, enjoyed a breakout campaign last term with 15 goals and 11 assists in just 32 Bundesliga appearances, also impressing at the World Cup with Les Bleus.

Kolo Muani will not come cheap, however. Frankfurt are reportedly holding out for a fee north of £75m for their star man, which has put off many of his suitors.

And with Paris Saint-Germain lurking, Spurs would need to move quickly to win the race.

Jonathan David (Lille)

Canadian international Jonathan David is destined for bigger and better things than Lille can offer.

Since joining the Ligue 1 outfit from Genk in 2020, David has improved his goal tally season upon season and found the net on an impressive 26 occasions last term.

But while Les Dogues did make the Europa Conference League qualifiers, now appears the perfect time for the £50m-rated poacher to join a club capable of competing for bigger prizes.

At 23, David could lead Tottenham's line for the next decade.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

If Tottenham were prioritising Premier League experience in their hunt for a Kane replacement, Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins is an obvious contender.

An England colleague of the Spurs No10, Watkins enjoyed his most prolific top-flight campaign to date with 15 strikes and has bagged a double-figure haul in the last three seasons.

With his electric pace and impressive work ethic, the 27-year-old would fit nicely into new boss Postecoglou's preferred style of play.

Whether the ambitious Villains would willingly sell their top scorer to a domestic rival remains to be seen.

Richarlison (Tottenham)

It may be that Spurs already have a Kane replacement in their ranks.

Deemed good enough to lead the line for Brazil, there was huge excitement when Richarlison joined in a £60m deal from Everton 12 months ago.

But injuries and poor form saw him net only a solitary league goal in a campaign the man himself summed up to South American journalists with a four-letter expletive.

Perhaps the departure of Spurs' first-choice forward could help the 26-year-old rediscover the magic that earned him a move in the first place.
