Paris Saint-Germain want to make Manchester City forward Chloe Kelly the highest-paid women's player in Europe this summer.

The Daily Mail report the French giants have been encouraged to pursue a deal for Kelly, who has shelved negotiations over a new contract with City.

She will have just 12 months remaining on her deal by the end of this season.

Kelly, 26, is one of English football's most iconic players after she scored the goal that won Euro 2022 for the Lionesses at Wembley.

And she has been in sparkling form in the Women's Super League this season, scoring five goals and creating four for a City side that sit second in the table, three points behind leaders Chelsea.

PSG would pay her more than any player outside the United States to leave England this summer.

The French side are keen to wrestle dominance over French football away from Lyon, who have won 16 of the last 17 editions of the Division 1 Feminine.

Other clubs are expected to bid for Kelly should it become clear that she is seriously considering leaving Manchester.
