Royal Ascot comes to a conclusion on Day 5 and there’s another awesome seven-race card to look forward to.

Here is everything you need to know for Saturday's day five, including the day's best bets.

Day 5 - Key info

First race: 14:30 Chesham Stakes

Feature race: 15:45 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes

Publicidad

It could be a strong end to the week for Aidan O’Brien as he has some very solid favourites going into the final day.

He saddles three in the Chesham Stakes (14:30) and debut winner Bedtime Story heads the market for the master of Ballydoyle. The daughter of Frankel is 7/4 with LiveScore Bet and she’s entitled to take a big step forward on just her second start.

Continuous in the Hardwicke Stakes (15:05) and River Tiber in the Jersey Stakes (16:25) also look hard to oppose at odds of 6/4 and 6/4 respectively with LiveScore Bet.

Best bet of the day

River Tiber is looking for a second win at Royal Ascot having won the Coventry Stakes in 2023

River Tiber to win the Jersey Stakes (16:25) @ 6/4

Publicidad

The Jersey Stakes is run over 7f and it presents three-year-olds who don’t quite stay a mile the chance to get back on track. RIVER TIBER is already a Royal Ascot winner, having claimed the Coventry Stakes on Day 1 as a two-year-old last term.

It’s quite possible that a significant reason for the drop back in trip is less to do with his lack of stamina and more to do with spreading out the yard’s runners.

He ran really well to finish third in the Irish 2,000 Guineas on his first start of the season and should improve plenty for the run. The drop in grade should provide the perfect opportunity to return to winning ways.

Best each-way bet of the day

Arabic Legend each-way in the Golden Gates Stakes (17:40) @ 14/1

It was a fair effort from Karl Burke’s ARABIC LEGEND when a relatively close up fourth in the Blue Riband Trial at Epsom on seasonal debut. The third went on to bolt up in a Group 3, which adds some substance to that form.

He’s better than he showed when very disappointing in the Lingfield Derby Trial next time but dropping into handicap company is a wise move. The handicapper has dropped him 2lb since and we should see a much more competitive horse this time.

Day 5 acca

Royal Ascot is one of the best meetings for juicy multiples and we have suggested a 27/1 Day 5 treble with LiveScore Bet.

Aidan O’Brien’s Continuous progressed throughout the season in 2023 and was an impressive winner of the St Leger at Doncaster. He followed that up with a more than respectable fifth in the Arc and connections think there could be more to come this year.

Publicidad

This horse wouldn’t have been out of place in the St James’s Palace Stakes earlier in the week and he could be far too good for these. The son of Wootton Bassett is likely to improve for his latest run and is very much the one to beat.

Another one that wouldn’t look out of place in a higher grade, he chased home stablemate Kyprios in the Group 3 Saval Beg Stakes when last seen and was doing his best work late on. The step up in trip should suit on that evidence and a big run is anticipated.
