Elsewhere, in-form Manchester City host Everton in Saturday's early kick-off, while Manchester United and Aston Villa finish off Sunday's action with a potential cracker at Villa Park.

Read on as we provide all the key stats and facts ahead of an exciting few days in the top flight.

Manchester City vs Everton (Saturday, 12.30pm, TNT Sports)

Champions City would move temporarily top of the table with a win over Everton.

The Citizens are unbeaten in 13 league matches against the Merseyside outfit and have not lost any of their last 23 against sides residing in the relegation zone.

Everton have not tasted victory in their last 12 trips to the Etihad and come up against an in-form Phil Foden.

The 23-year-old maestro has already scored four career goals against the Toffees and boasts eight goal contributions in his previous six top-flight outings following a hat-trick at Brentford on Monday.

Fulham vs Bournemouth (Saturday, 3pm)

Fulham will be eager to get back to winning ways against a Bournemouth side without a victory in four games.

The Cottagers' last league triumph came against Arsenal on New Year's Eve and they possess the unwanted record of failing to score in a division-high 10 outings this term.

Bournemouth won the reverse fixture on Boxing Day 3-0 when star striker Dominic Solanke netted against the West London outfit for the fifth consecutive match.

Liverpool vs Burnley (Saturday, 3pm)

Liverpool's 15-game unbeaten run came to an end at Arsenal last weekend but the Reds will be confident of picking up three points against relegation-threatened Burnley.

Jurgen Klopp's side have won eight of their last 10 Premier League matches against the Clarets, claiming victory in the last four by an aggregate score of 8-0.

Darwin Nunez will look to continue his impressive home form — the division's leading shot taker has three goals and an assist in his last four Anfield appearances.

Luton vs Sheffield United (Saturday, 3pm)

Luton could have the opportunity to extend the gap to the relegation zone with Everton facing a daunting trip to Manchester.

The Blades have lost 29 of the previous 35 Premier League away matches and have shipped a concerning 59 goals in 23 top-flight games this term.

Tottenham vs Brighton (Saturday, 3pm)

Brighton are looking to claim a league double over Tottenham for the very first time in their trip to the capital.

Roberto De Zerbi's side won the reverse fixture 4-2 in December and it was the only top-flight game from Spurs' last eight in which Richarlison did not find the back of the net.

The Seagulls' recent away record against the North Londoners is pretty dismal, though, with six losses from the last seven visits.

Wolves vs Brentford (Saturday, 3pm)

Brentford are looking to reverse a recent poor run up against a Wolves side fresh from a 4-2 victory at Chelsea.

The Bees have lost nine of their previous 11 Premier League games and are on the division's longest run without a clean sheet (12 matches), shipping at least two goals in the last six.

Wolves' form in their past six fixtures is far superior, with Gary O'Neil's side winning four and scoring an impressive 16 times.

Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle (Saturday, 5.30pm, Sky Sports)

Newcastle will be out for revenge against Nottingham Forest after losing 3-1 to Nuno Espirito Santo's side at St James' Park on Boxing Day.

Chris Wood, the hat-trick hero from that day, misses Saturday evening's fixture through injury, as does Anthony Gordon after picking up a knock in last weekend's 4-4 draw with Luton.

But the injury-depleted Magpies will be buoyed by the fact Forest have lost five of their last six league matches at the City Ground.

West Ham vs Arsenal (Sunday, 2pm, Sky Sports)

West Ham could complete a league double over Arsenal for the first time since 2006-07 after their 2-0 win at the Emirates in December.

But the Gunners arrive at the London Stadium in good form having claimed three top-flight victories on the bounce, including last Sunday's 3-1 success over title rivals Liverpool.

The Hammers are unbeaten in six on home soil, though, with convincing victories over Man Utd and Wolves featuring in that run.

Aston Villa vs Manchester United (Sunday, 4.30pm, Sky Sports)

United will look to make it three top-flight wins in a row against one of their favourite opponents.

The Red Devils have won 17 of their 28 Premier League matches at Villa Park, with the Villans victorious in just one of the past three at home overall after a 15-game winning streak.

Rasmus Hojlund is the man in form for Erik ten Hag having scored in each of the last four, while Ollie Watkins will be itching to add to his impressive tally of 11 goals and 10 assists in the league this season.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea (Monday, 8pm, Sky Sports)

The Premier League action ends with Chelsea's visit to Crystal Palace, who will be without the services of injured trio Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi at Selhurst Park.

Palace have lost their last 12 top-flight meetings against Monday's opposition — the Blues have never won 13 in a row against a team in the league.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino also boasts a formidable record against the Eagles, collecting victories in 12 out of 14 matches and losing only once.
