The year 2024 is set to be a big one for international football with the Euros and Copa America both taking place.

But the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will take centre stage in the first two months of the year and a host of Premier League stars will be jetting off to the Ivory Coast for the tournament.

After being moved from its original summer date in 2023 to coincide with the Asian Cup, AFCON is set to cause a massive headache for clubs in the top flight.

Domestic action will continue in England unlike in regular international breaks, with teams potentially without their African players for up to four weeks between January 13 and February 11.

Only Manchester City and Newcastle will not be affected by the competition while Nottingham Forest could lose up to seven big names.

Read on as we reveal which Premier League players will be missing for their clubs.
