Champions Manchester City kick off their Premier League title defence with a potential banana skin at West Ham on August 7.

Having often punched above their weight last season, the Hammers will fancy their chances of causing an upset on home soil.

While that game is arguably the highlight of the opening weekend, the English top flight swings back into action when Crystal Palace take on Arsenal on August 5.

Bournemouth begin their campaign with a home match against Aston Villa on August 6, while fellow newcomers Fulham face a daunting clash against Liverpool at Craven Cottage earlier that day.

And all eyes will be on Championship play-off winners Nottingham Forest when they face Eddie Howe's Newcastle at St James' Park.

In the remaining fixtures on the first Saturday of the season, Leeds and Wolves collide at Elland Road, Tottenham face Southampton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Chelsea head to Everton in the evening kick-off.

In addition to City's clash with the Hammers, the first Super Sunday of the season will see Manchester United host Brighton at Old Trafford in a 2pm kick-off, while Leicester take on Brentford at the King Power Stadium at the same time.
