Anthony Joshua gave it his all but could not reclaim the IBF, WBA Super and WBO world heavyweight titles from Oleksandr Usyk.

The Rage on the Red Sea went the distance in Jeddah as the classy Usyk, 35, retained his gold via split decision — adding the vacant Ring Magazine belt to his collection in the process.

AJ first lost to the Ukrainian at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last September when all three judges awarded the fight to Usyk.

But one scored it 115-113 in the 32-year-old Brit's favour this time, with the champ getting the nod from the other two to pick up the win.
