Manchester United have revealed their new home kit for the 2023-24 campaign, drawing inspiration from their industrial heritage.

The strip features the iconic red rose in a geometric pattern, which was inspired by the bridge between Manchester and Salford that was built during the industrial revolution.

It marks the connection fans have to the city's industrial legacy and how Mancunians have influenced the modern world.

Designed by adidas, the kit has its usual block red design but includes a new striking pattern accompanied by a crew neck collar.

Inigo Turner, the design director at the popular sportswear manufacturer, said: "The undying support and connection that Manchester United fans have with their club and city is unique.

"For this season's iteration of the home jersey, we've drawn inspiration from just that by celebrating the city's industrial heritage.

"The design really does champion the people and city that make Manchester United what it is today — and we can't wait to see fans and players united as one wearing the jersey, in what is set to be an important season for the club."

Rapper Aitch caused a shock when he emerged for his set at Glastonbury in the new Manchester United kit

The new kit was showcased by British rapper Aitch at Glastonbury last Saturday, sparking excitement in the crowd.

It will be worn for the first time by players when United face Leeds in Norway on July 12 as part of their pre-season tour.

Erik ten Hag will be hoping the new threads will bring good fortune to his club as they look to mount a title challenge after securing Champions League football last term.

The jersey is available to purchase via Manchester United stores, selected adidas retail outlets and online.
