Try dampening the excitement at Salisbury however, as the Wiltshire track welcomes back racegoers for the first time since the 2019 season ended.

There'll be a real buzz around and they've got Listed action via the Cathedral Stakes at 3.38pm on their card. Seven races at Salisbury from 2.08pm through until 5.10pm with ground described as 'Good to firm-good in places' and we've selected five to look out for.

LiveScore Five To Follow at Salisbury on Sunday

2.08pm - Byerley Stud Racing Excellence Apprentice Handicap (7f)

Marco Botti's filly DAMA BIANCA was much-improved at Brighton (7f, good) last month under a positive ride.

She was always up on the pace and in the end was beaten a shade more than a length in finishing third. She races from an unchanged mark now and has scope for better.

Christian Howarth claims a handy 5lb in the saddle for this opening apprentice contest and if they can get a good early position, a breakthrough success may be forthcoming.

LiveScore Selection: Dama Bianca

2.38pm - Yew Tree Inn Handicap (5f)

ROSE HIP has won 6-16 career starts and Tom Marquand has been on board in each of those success (6-8 record together).

The Acclamation mare surged home late to win over this trip at Windsor 13 days ago and while a 4lb rise in the weights is adequate, trainer Tony Carroll looks to have found a weak enough race in this follow-up attempt.

She's the one to beat again under this rider.

3.38pm- British Stallion Studs EBF Cathedral Stakes (Listed, 6f)

If Khaadem recaptures the form of last summer's fine Group 1 runs, Charlie Hills' charge is a big player.

Both runs this season have been underwhelming, even though heavy ground at Haydock last month can be offered as a mitigating factor.

The Richard Hannon-trained MUMS TIPPLE will serve it up to him. He's right back on track this spring, winning in this grade at Wolverhampton and finishing second to the useful Pogo at Leicester.

He's had a short break since and rates a major contender with conditions/drop in trip favourable.

LiveScore Selection: Mums Tipple

4.08pm - David & Sandra Wedding Anniversary Fillies' Handicap (7f)

Ed Walker and Oisin Murphy are a potent team, the champion jockey boasting a 33 per-cent strike-rate for this handler so far in 2021.

SUNSET BAY's reappearance second at Thirsk last month over this trip was promising. Her subsequent handicap debut at York saw her not quite seeing out the mile on soft ground.

Eased 2lb and dropping in trip/class, the daughter of Cable Bay is a lively contender on this faster surface with Murphy taking over riding duties.

LiveScore Selection: Sunset Bay

4.38pm - WaterAid Mildren Construction Fillies' Novice Stakes (1m2f)

It could be a quick-fire double for Murphy as he partners Godolphin filly DEEP SNOW in this novice event for Saeed bin Suroor.

The daughter of Bated Breath was last spotted winning a Ripon maiden (1m, good) last July.

That run came 11 months after a runner-up finish at Newbury on debut behind a next-time-out Group 3 scorer in Boomer.

She's undergone wind surgery in her downtime and should be well suited going up in distance.

On paper, there isn't much for her to fear here and she goes well fresh.

LiveScore Selection: Deep Snow
