There is a bumper afternoon of racing across the UK and Ireland to look forward to on Saturday.

And we have picked out five horses for you to follow from the big races at Newmarket and the Curragh.

The Irish Oaks is the feature contest at the latter, where Oaks winner Snowfall is bidding to complete a Classic double.

2.55pm - Fine Watch Club Handicap (1m)

FINEST SOUND made an excellent start to the season as he was denied by just a short head on his seasonal reappearance at Nottingham (1m½f).

He then went once place better to prevail at Haydock (1m) on his second outing.

Publicidad

Unfortunately for his connections, he was a long way down the field in the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot last month.

Jockey Andrea Atzeni had his work cut out in that race at the royal meeting as his horse took a keen hold from very early on.

The large field did not seem to suit the gelding. But Simon and Ed Crisford's runner is worth another shot at this mark and he should be in the mix at the finish if he settles this time.

LiveScore selection: Finest Sound

3.30pm - Ric And Mary Hambro Aphodite Fillies' Stakes (1m4f - Listed)

Free Wind will be aiming for Newmarket success on Saturday

After back-to-back wins at Goodwood and Doncaster, both over 1m2f, FREE WIND deserves her shot at this Listed contest.

Publicidad

She is stepping up in trip to 1m4f and there could be further improvement in the filly for that.

The daughter of Galileo blew her rivals away on her maiden success at Goodwood. It was a very impressive display as she never looked like being passed.

Different tactics were used by Rob Havlin last time at Doncaster. She sat off the pace and was equally as strong in the final stages to score by two lengths.

The unexposed filly has a bright future and could end up in a far higher level than this in the near future.

LiveScore selection: Free Wind Curragh

2.50pm - Paddy Power Sapphire Stakes (5f - Group 2)

Since moving to Michael Browne's yard earlier this year, LOGO HUNTER has won four of his six races and has not been outside of the front two in those outings.

The consistent sprinter is now having his first shot at a Group Two race.

The three-year-old gelding has been finishing his races really strongly this season.

His last two wins have come at Listed level and he can bag a hat-trick of successes here in what will be the most prestigious win of his career so far.

LiveScore Selection: Logo Hunter

3.25pm - Juddmonte Irish Oaks (1m4f)

A second Classic looks on the cards for SNOWFALL as she is aiming to add to her Oaks success by winning the Irish equivalent of the fillies contest over 1m4f.

Publicidad

Aidan O'Brien's filly produced one of the most dominant Oaks performances of the modern era to score by 16 lengths at Epsom. She just kept stretching away from her rivals inside the final couple of furlongs.

It would be a huge surprise if the Irish horse did not score for third time this season. Expect another big performance.

LiveScore Selection: Snowfall
