Carlisle is one of two jump meetings taking place on Sunday afternoon in the UK.

The action at the Cumbria-based racecourse begins at 12pm with a novice hurdle affair and the going is described as 'Good To Soft', 'Soft' in places on the Hurdle course.

Here are our five horses to follow.

12pm - Racing TV Novices' Hurdle (2m1f)

ROXANYA is still a maiden after six races on the track, however, she has shown plenty of promise to suggest her first success will not be far around the course.

Last time out at Limerick (2m3f), she finished third of 15 runners.

The five-year-old mare will be receiving weight from the opposite sex here and she can take advantage of that in the opening race on this card at Carlisle.

LiveScore selection: Roxanya

12.30pm - Pertemps Novices' Handicap Chase (2m)

A switch to Stuart Coltherd's yard seems to have really helped ROLLERRULER as he made a successful start for his new trainer when scoring at Hexham (1m7½f) last month.

He was up with the early pace throughout that contest.

The handicapper has raised the Hexham winner up 5lb, but that seems very fair, and it gives him an excellent chance of adding to his tally.

1.05pm - Fontalis Restaurant "Come Dine With Me" Maiden Hurdle (3m1f)

GOLD CUP BAILLY was a point-to-point winner last season but has yet to score under Rules.

He finished third in a large field at Punchestown (2m4f) and then was second behind Ahoy Senor at Ayr (2m4½f).

Stuart Crawford's runner is arguably the most unexposed runner in the field, especially as he steps up in trip, to a distance which is likely to suit him.

He is the one they will all have to beat.

1.40pm - Secret Garden Restaurant Pooley Bridge Handicap Chase (2m5f)

C&D winner PAPA TANGO CHARLY is bidding to complete a hat-trick of wins when he lines up in this handicap chase over 2m5f.

He was successful here by an impressive 12 lengths earlier this season.

He was well ahead of the handicapper in that race on his chase debut and Jonjo O'Neill's gelding may not have stopped improving just yet.

He could turn out to be a much better horse over fences, so further success cannot be ruled out from the horse who cost £440,000 after winning a point-to-point at Liscarroll.

2.10pm - Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle (3m1f)

Bass Rock holds an excellent record at Carlisle

BASS ROCK has never been outside the first two home in his three starts at this course.

He was successful here on his penultimate outing over the shorter trip of 2m4f.

He did not fare badly last time in a Grade Three contest at Haydock ovet the extended 3m distance, finishing third of 12. Although this is a career high mark of 132 now, it is still workable for Sandy Thomson's gelding.

The five-year-old looks a much better horse after being gelded back in the summer.

LiveScore selection: Bass Rock
