Love to race in Juddmonte International

Aidan O'Brien has entered Love in the Juddmonte International at York's Ebor Festival after hot favourite St Mark's Basilica was ruled out through injury.

The Siyouni colt was well-fancied to win the race having already won three from three starts this year.

He completed a Classic double with victories in the French 2000 Guineas and French Derby, before an outstanding display saw him take the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown last month.

But he will no longer run and O'Brien hopes Love can deliver instead on Wednesday.

The four-year-old filly saw her four-race winning streak, which included the Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot, come to end last month after losing the King George to Adayar.

She will have some big rivals, namely John Gosden's King George runner-up Mishriff and Andrew Balding's stable star Alcohol Free, fresh from Sussex Stakes glory at Goodwood.

Quick Suzy set for Group One bow

Trainer Gavin Cromwell has entered Quick Suzy is Sunday's Darley Prix Morny at Deauville.

It will be the two-year-old's first attempt at a Group One race in what will be only her fifth start.

She won impressively in the Group Two Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot in her last race and has been rested since.

Now, she is set to step up once more as she travels over to France and Cromwell is confident the race will be perfectly suited to her.

He said: "Quick Suzy goes for the Prix Morny. She was entered in the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh last week but we gave her a break after Ascot and the race just came too soon after that break.

"Fillies have a very good record in the Prix Morny and, on top of that, Queen Mary winners have a great record in it too so it looks the right race for her. It fits perfectly into her schedule too."

Audarya set for Prix de Romanet defence

Audarya is heading to Deauville this weekend in order to try and defend her Prix Jean Romanet title.

Audarya will aim to win in France again this weekend

James Fanshawe's five-year-old won the French Group One race by a neck last year ahead of Ambition.

A Breeders' Cup win at Keeneland followed in November but this year has not exactly gone to plan so far.

She finished second behind Love at Royal Ascot before a disappointing fifth in the Nissau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

Yet Fanshawe is confident she can get back to her best this Sunday. He said: "She's well, she'll be going to the Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville at the weekend.

"She seems to have come out of Goodwood in good form and the plan is go for the race on Sunday now."

Probert to saddle Sandrine at York

David Probert will aim to continue his great run of form when he rides Sandrine in Thursday's Lowther Stakes at York.

The Welshman claimed his 100th win of 2021 aboard Typewriter in a Novice race at Nottingham on Tuesday.

Eight more wins followed in the next two days at Ffos Las before a double at Newbury made it 10 in three days.

He certainly has a good chance of more success on Sandrine, who is unbeaten in three starts, with wins at Royal Ascot and Newmarket to her name.

Probert said: "I'm very grateful I get the opportunities I do. To get on this very special filly and to be stuck by and have the faith in me to ride a filly of her class, I'm very grateful."
